Dr. David Immanuel is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and fellowship trained as a cornea specialist. He is on staff at Winthrop-University Hospital, North Shore University Hospital in Syosset and Plainview. He also performs surgery at three Ambulatory surgery centers:
Island Eye Surgicenter at Carle Place, Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center in Brentwood, and Syosset Hospital.
Dr. Immanuel has extensive research experience and has published numerous articles. He received his medical training at New York University School of Medicine where he attended the Medical Scientist Training Program and received his MD and PhD degrees. In addition to graduating Valedictorian from St. Paul's School, he also graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Ct. He completed an internship in medicine at York Hospital and was the Chief Resident at University of Maryland where he completed his Ophthalmology residency. He completed a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive surgery with Dr. Theodore Perl at Corneal Associates of New Jersey.
